Monday 17th June 2013 Live Dates.....looking forward to heading over to S.E. Asia again towards the end of August, to work with legendary American singer/songwriter Judy Collins. We will be in Taiwan on the 2nd of September and Hong Kong on the 3rd. Details of venues and possible further dates in the region to follow. J xx

Sunday 9th June 2013 roller skating in the park....dug out and dusted off my Bauer 'in-liners' and headed to the park for a day of roller skating in the summer sunshine. Having learned to ice skate at a very young age, roller skating never presented too much of a problem, although it had been a while since I'd done it. Happy to report no falls or injuries!... in fact, managed to get some pretty good speed up around the circuit - really good fun! (although I'm sure some inner thigh ache may be on the cards tomorrow!)....afterwards, a well deserved picnic... before the late afternoon light began to fade and it was time to head home. J xx

Sunday 2nd June 2013 the sun shone and for a few days at least, time felt as though it was standing still.......not long back in the UK, following a two and a half hour drive home from the airport. Really nice to have spent a few days in the warmth of the sunshine, although a suntan was always out of the question, what with my pale skin and the bottle of SPF 50 which I was liberally applying! Anyway, I think I might just have made the giant leap from 'snow' white to somewhere close to 'creamy Ivory' - so I guess I shouldn't complain too much!...pretty blissful all in all.... Hope all's good with you.

Monday 20th May 2013 (only just...00.50am) heading off to bed now, having checked through the final subtitle submissions for the 'Live at the Lyric' DVD. If there's any mistakes, it's down to me I'm afraid - was getting a little bleary eyed towards the end! Perhaps I'll curl up in bed with some soothing sounds through the headphones....maybe Thomas Feiner, Levon Minassian or 'Saturns Rings' - the recordings made by the NASA voyager spacecraft - guaranteed to give you the 'sleep of the dead' (well not literally I hope!!) Sleep tight....J

Sunday 12th May 2013 (11.23 pm) Jan Garbarek 'Pan'...curled up on the sofa in the darkness, as the final embers of the evening fire slowly start to burn away. Playing the same game I did as a child, at my grandparents house in Scotland, I'm trying to stay awake 'til the last glow has disappeared from the fire grate - a feat that will probably elude me tonight, as this fire still has quite some life left within, and the soothing sound of Mr Garbarek is proving far too comforting a lullaby. Saturday 11th May 2013 heading off to the cinema to see the recently released 'Star trek into darkness' ....probably not my first choice of film to watch, however it does have the very talented Dominic Cumberbatch playing a lead role, so hopefully it will be good.... J xx

Sunday 5th May 2013 New Forest, Hampshire.....a day spent cycling in the picturesque countryside. The sun shone, as Summer finally seemed tempted to make an appearance....arrived home after an hour and a half drive, exhilarated but exhausted! J xx
