Sadly having to change the ringtone on my phone....for a long time now it has been 'Abraham's New Gift' by Phronesis - a jazz trio led by the incredibly talented double- bassist and composer Jasper Hoiby. Unfortunately though I keep missing calls as the track starts with a very impressive but low sounding bass intro, which I never seem to hear when the phone's in my bag regardless of volume... Perhaps instead, it's time for a new phone!
Check out the link below and prepare to be stunned by the level of musicianship. 'Eight Hours' is one of my favourite Phronesis tracks...maybe one day I'll see them play it live.

...photo taken a couple of days ago on my trip up to London - seen here with John Williams, at his home recording studio in the West of the City. John is a record producer and song writer who has worked with Simple Minds, The Proclaimers, Robert Plant, The Blue Nile, Beth Nielsen Chapman, and Debbie Harry to name but a few! It was fun to hang out together for a while. Big thanks to John for sending the photo and to Ashley Whitfield for taking it!

A big Thanks to everyone who bought the latest album The Heart Within and attended my debut headline concert in Hong Kong in September. The album is set for release in more countries in the coming months. In 2012 I hope to play more concerts in the region - so I look forward to seeing you there. The concert film of the Lyric Theatre is now being edited and should be released on blu-ray and CD in the middle of the year. In the meantime I’m working on new songs and learning to play my ukulele. I’ll regularly post videos of my progress with my ukulele!! So happy New Year year to everyone. Wishing you love, peace and happiness for 2012.
